Conservatives in Person

I strongly urge everyone of you to seek out public appearances and public speeches of modern conservatives. I regret not doing this prior to my first experience when Hugh Hewitt came to guest-speak in our class. I decided to sit right in front (a decision rarely made...) in order to catch every word that Hewitt spoke. It was exhilarating. I enjoyed every time a liberal tried to tell him off or catch him in some verbal trap. He simply told them facts they could not refute. Nearly every time this occurred the liberal would resign to overly passionate arguing, which even still, ended in the liberal's defeat. The last time this happened Hewitt confessed to us that he loves it when a liberal loses his/her cool in debate. He says its at that time when they truly know that "the gig is up". That they are firing from the hip with a sniper rifle at a target too far to see with the naked eye.

Very enjoyable indeed.
